Rubber Duck Ultra Guard: Flexible waterproof coating

  • Rubber Duck Ultra Guard is a superior hybrid polymeric low sheen high build flexible waterproofing and coating material resistant to extreme temperatures and environmental conditions. It is applied as a thick liquid paste forming a seamless, decorative, and flexible membrane that prevents water penetration and extends the life of the roof or structure.

    • Extremely tough and flexible

    • Very good resistance to abrasion & impact

    • Applicable to less accessible locations, moulds to sharp & intricate contours.

    • Non-toxic

    • Environmentally friendly

    • Resists growth of mould & fungus

    • Forms a watertight fibre-reinforced system

    • High UV resistance

    • High solar reflectance and infrared emittance

    • Resists extreme temperatures

    • High strength and elasticity

  • This product system will cover approximately 1.5 - 2 litre / m² for the full waterproofing application. Each coat within the waterproofing system has different spread rates, refer to APPLICATION heading. Spread rates vary depending on the type of substrate and surface porosity.

  • Use Promac Rubber Duck Ultra Guard in conjunction with a geotexile waterproofing membrane (WP1100).

    STEP 1 - FIRST COAT
Apply one coat of Promac Rubber Duck Ultra Guard to areas of the prepared surface slightly wider than the membrane at a rate of 1.7 m² per litre, subject to the surface profile.

    STEP 2 - BEDDING
Thoroughly work the membrane firmly into the still wet first coat to obtain maximum saturation from below, smooth out all air pockets and creases. Ensure a minimum of 50 mm overlap on the adjoining lengths of the membrane.

    STEP 3 - SATURATION
Immediately apply a second coat of Promac Rubber Duck Ultra Guard to complete the saturation of the membrane and overlaps at a rate of 1.7 m² per litre then allow to dry for 4 - 6 hours.

    STEP 4 - FINISHING
Apply two finishing coats of Promac Rubber Duck Ultra Guard a rate of 3.5 m² per litre. Allow 4 - 6 hours drying time between coats and overcoating. Protect from rain until dry.

Overcoat waterproofing system with a suitable exterior Promac top coat or an additional two coats of Promac Rubber Duck Ultra Guard as per STEP 4.

  • Clean all tools (brushes and rollers) while wet with water after use.
