Rubber Duck Damp Guard: Water resistant primer

Promac Rubber Duck Damp Guard is a single component acrylic primer and barrier for treating rising damp and penetrating moisture in plaster, cementitious and fibre cement substrates. It forms a tough, water-resistant film with good adhesion to both damp and dry substrates.

Smooth surface: 5.5 – 9 m² / litre per coat: WFT (wet film thickness): 115 ‐ 180 µm, DFT (dry film thickness): 50 ‐ 80 µm, depending on surface porosity, profile and application tools.

Apply this product with a quality brush, roller or airless spray equipment. Apply a minimum of two coats or three to highly porous surfaces. It is important to thin the first coat with 10% water, work well into the surface to achieve a WFT (wet film thickness) of 115-180 μm per coat. Allow a minimum of 6 hours between coats and a maximum 24 hours @ 23°C before overcoating with a Promac decorative finishing coat.

Do not allow the product to dry on equipment. Equipment is readily cleaned using water. (Some detergent may be added to water to facilitate clean up).
