Architrade Roughtex

Architrade Roughtex is a premium pure acrylic topcoat product with a coarse textured matt finish, providing a rare natural granular effect. Architrade Roughtex has excellent coverage and hiding capabilities and extremely resistant to all weather conditions and UV exposure.

Architrade Roughtex will cover approximately 1 – 4m² per litre for a single coat. This value can change drastically depending on substate material, surface porosity and application methods.

Architrade Roughtex

Apply a minimum of two full coats of Architrade Roughtex plus a wet edge are required. Wet edge: cut and apply architrade roughtex in small areas at a time, keeping a wet edge.

1.First coat: while maintaining the wet edge, apply the first full coat from corner to corner using a long pile wool or quality synthetic roller at a spread rate of 1 – 4 m² / litre. Allow to dry for 4 – 6 hours before recoating.
2. Second coat: on the second coat the final finish pattern is achieved. The pattern can be varied from a coarse rolled texture to a more brushed pattern.

• Coarse rolled pattern: Apply a full coat of Architrade Roughtex with a coarse foam roller or from corner to corner.

• Brushed pattern: If the brushed finish is desired, apply a full coat of Architrade Roughtex. While the paint is wet, use a 150 mm block brush and drag the brush from top to bottom to achieve the desired brush finish. Apply the coat at a spread rate 1 – 4 m² / litre. allow to dry for 4 – 6 hours.

Wet film thickness (wft) per coat: 248 –1000μm
Dry film thickness (dft) per coat: 87 – 350μm

Clean all tools while wet with clean water after use. If paint has dried clean with use of Promac brush cleaner.
